Removal of Dead Fetus
& Placenta:
Medically it is called an inevitable
abortion as abortion is the term used for any cessation of pregnancy
before the baby is viable (able to live on its own).
The histological changes in the post-mature
placenta of the rat are of two types. First there is the lesion of
fetal capillary closure with placental necrosis. This follows fetal
death and does not precede it.

Secondly there is a placental matrix
lesion in which there is a laying down of connective tissue matrix in
numerous foci usually beneath the functional zone of the placenta. The
matrix lesion may be found in association with both live and dead
fetuses, but is not invariable and there is no causal relation between
this lesion and fetal death.
Risks of retained placenta include
hemorrhage and infection. If the placenta fails to deliver in 30 minutes
in a hospital environment, manual extraction may be required if heavy
ongoing bleeding occurs, and very rarely a curettage is necessary to
ensure that no remnants of the placenta remain (in rare conditions with
very adherent placenta (placenta accreta).
Fetus off RA-63 is the most effective
medicine for the patients
having Dead Fetus or few parts of Placenta or blood clots. |
